She took a girly magazine from the coffee table and brought it up to her knees and began to read it, trying her best to ignroe the guys. But when one of them spoke she looked up, Uh, I'm Aiden by the way. She smiled gently as she looked over the magazine to him, "I'm Katie." She said. Her voice was quiet but altogether a very sweet tone. She then buried her head back into the magazine, she was obviously uncomfortable been stuck in a room with two guys she didn't know. Maybe ti was just insercurity, afterall she had no trust in anyone. She didn't really listen to the rest of the their converstation just kept reading.

Aiden sighed as Jake got up to go. Furrowing his brow he switched off the television. Why had this Katie come here if to do nothing other than annoy him? Keep your cool man, he thought as he glanced at her; he wasn't about to get upset over something as simple as all this when she probably hadn't meant to in the first place.
Clasping his hands infront of him he pursed his lips and clucked his tongue a few times, "So, having fun here?" he asked.

Layla came down the creaky steps. Jake had run into her in the hallway, telling her about the ordeal. Layla rolled her eyes. Honestly, guys didn't know how to do anything. Why would a girl want to watch TV with a couple of slobby guys? Uh uh. No.
Layla saw the girl immediately. She seemed a little younger than herself, a bit shorter, and with darker hair. But nonetheless she was pretty, if Layla could say so herself. She smiled to the girl encouragingly, and came to stand next to her.
+Hello. I don't suppose you felt quite welcome here with these guys. Nah, unless you don't like flowers or enjoy hockey, at a first impression you wouldn't get on with them+
She cast a smile at Aiden, who was obviously trying to make conversation. Typical. They really had no idea about females. Hockey. For goodness sake.

Aiden breathed a sigh of relief, "You can entertain then. Your cousin and you!" he threw his air up in mock surrender and slumped back into the comfy folds of the couch. His gaze flipped between the two girls, and he reached for the remote. Hitting the power button and replacing it on the coffee-table quickly, "If not hockey then what?" he questioned.
Aid easily lifted the box of darts and tossed another one at the bullseye; missing, as usual.

Layla looked at Aiden exasperatingly, shaking her head in despair. Honestly, did he know nothing? I suppose the young man isn't thinking about the future, she thought wickedly. Why, if he's ever to get a family or at least a date, he'd gotta learn about the opposite sex. Women seem to know men, its easy. "The stomack is the door to a mans heart". Simple. The only reason Aiden and I are friends is because I gave him half my lunch.
+Is there a good soap on? Coronation Street? Desperate Housewives? Anything along those lines? Apart from any type of sport, excluding netball, volleyball, tennis, squash, and possibly the odd game of soccer. And rugby's okay. But honestly, we don't want to see if the... Flames are beating the Avalanches+

He screwed up his nose and made a descusted face as she listed the soaps; goodness, he was going to be stuck with them in this mansion, they were going to have to work out a schedule, "The Aves were gonna win." he mumbled; brow furrowed as he passed her the remote, "Whatever soaps you like, be my guest." He lent her a cheeky smile and stood up, "Have a g'day ladies."
As he strode towards the exit, he sent Layla a smile and headed up the stairs; yes, he liked her. Cheeky, a little sarcastic, yet warm and kind at the same time. He could see they'd be close friends in the future; of course the proximity probably would help that along.

Layla sent a smile back, turning to look at Katie. Why, this girl didn't talk much at all! Nothing said since Layla had introduced herself, and since Aiden had told them the Avalanches were going to win. Yeah, right. They were totally losing. Honestly, if you have to watch sport, go for the winning team!

((sorry been ill so couldt get on)) She looked up at the girl who came and sat herself down beside her. On this occasion if anyone else may have done this she would have moved away showing she uncomfortable but hey, this girl didn't seem all that bad. She wasn't suck up or up her own arse so maybe, just maybe they could get along. Hello. I don't suppose you felt quite welcome here with these guys. Nah, unless you don't like flowers or enjoy hockey, at a first impression you wouldn't get on with them. Katie laughed and nodded, with a small smile expressing from her lips. The first real smile since she had arrived. Hey. She said softly, I suppose. She wasn't much of a talker, but then again if she felt comfortable she could chat a bit. Have a g'day ladies, Katie heard the guy say and looked up, and for the first time in a long time she spoke with-out having been told to speak really. Bye. She said softly, it was obvious to anyone there was some sort of shyness to her.

Layla tipped her head on the side. Katie seemed shy, yet sweet. No doubt the male genes couldn't understand that. No, blunt as ever, Layla smiled.
+So, I'm Layla. You're Katie, right?+
Layla asked. She couldn't think of anything to say. Strange how this sweet, quiet girl could strip away all the words and phrases Layla had lined up for introductions. Not that she remembered anyway. That was another fault of Layla; she didn't have the greatest memory. It was better than one of a goldfish, but it could be better.
(OOC: I was absent yesterday, so yeah...)

Katie looked at the girl from her magazine as she flicked the page onto horoscopes, she looked back to ti and read hers. She was going to meet someone and become close. She rolled her eyes, she never believed in that sorta stuff but lately, she had been taking more interest in it. Did it mean a guy or a friend? So, I'm Layla. You're Katie, right? Katie looked up to her and smiled, Yeah, and hey again. She said with a sweet smile, she wasn't one for conversation but now the guys had left the room making it oly one person in her presense she seemed to relax slightly, not so intimidated anymore. How is it here? I'm new.

Layla made the ' so-so' sign with her hands, attempting to read upside down and find her horoscope. She was Gemini today; " Something great will be acquired". Yeah right. She read Taurus. "Be prepared for a great downfall". I'll go for the Gemini, Layla thought hurriedly. You see, Layla is on the cusp. Between Taurus and Gemini. And since the horoscopes vary, sometimes she's Gemini, sometimes Taurus. It changes.
+It's alright. I've been to the attic, gardens, bedroom, common room, here, and kitchen. I LOVE the gardens. They're gorgeous+

She smiled and allowed the girl to read the magazine, but normally she would have snapped it from their view. It just showed how comfortable she was with the girl been there, and it wasn't that often she made a 'friend' in some terms, so easily. It's alright. I've been to the attic, gardens, bedroom, common room, here, and kitchen. I LOVE the gardens. They're gorgeous. She heard the girl say, she smiled gently. Katie herself had always loved gardens, she loved to sit in them and relax but she hated with a great passion the insects in them, more along the lines of Spiders, Bees, Wasps, Flys, Beetles, Worms, okay everythng then but she still loved them, with all the pretty varying colours of plants and trees. I haven't really been around much, kinda sticking to quite places for some stupid reason. She said, not realising she had just gave away the fact she didn't like to hang around on herself. You know anyone else here? She was obviously keen to talk and make friends with the girl.

Layla nodded. Yeah, she knew people. She hadn't been the most popular person since she'd got here, but she knew people. Everyone knew someone here, even if it was only the receptionist. Layla found it slightly strange that Katie didn't feel the urge to explore. Oh, Layla did. The very word 'mansion' sent chills running through her. Ah, she was addicted to romance and the storybook tales. Especially mysteries. And romance. Ah, glorious.
+Yeah. Jake, who was the guy before last, my cousin; Aiden, the last person; Skyla, the super-girly, bubbly one; Eloisa, the inquisitive one with the messy blonde hair; Clark, the slightly shy but awkward guy who I just met; you, of course; Ana, who I don't really know much about; and me. So yeah. You should go out to the garden sometime. Its so pretty+
